We are blessed to live in America. I love this country. We aren't perfect. But we live in a great country and I'd never want to live anywhere else. And its not great because of any politician. Politicians and media turn us against each other. Our country is great because of us citizens. But the more the technology, the easier it is for the power-brokers to get us all to hate each other. I am as guilty of those angry thoughts as much as anyone. Hopefully one day, I won't let them influence my emotions so much.

Long story short, we might disagree, but I love this site and everyone here.

It is hard not to see what is happening to the immigrant community and for me not to take it personally. My mother in law met her husband in Bermuda while he was serving in the US Air Force. They were married in 1971 and moved to the United States in 1974 where he began to work for the NSA. She was unable to get citizenship until 1985. For anyone that thinks we have a logical and "generous" immigration system is just not thinking clearly.

If what was happening now happened in 1976 my mother in law would've been deported along with my wife. This is a situation that has happened multiple times since ICE has started their heinous and unconstitutional tactics. Arresting people with no warrants, holding them without lawyers etc etc

We have deported military veterans and American citizens. Many without due process. I keep hearing about criminals and yes we should deport those that have committed certain crimes. However I never hear anyone ever say we should go after the real criminals, the corporations and businesses that knowingly hire undocumented workers to take advantage of them and their labor. The truth is we will go after those with no voice because it is easier than going after Exxon or Amazon.

We need to make legal immigration way faster than this!

But we also need to handle illegal immigration way faster too. You can't just walk to the border from any country and say "Asylum" then stay forever. Or have Joe Biden create some bullshit app and say every person that used that app gets to stay here forever. The most recent story is the dad that ditched his kid, still gets sent back to Minnesota with his kid he ditched to save himself. He came across the border in January 2024 with the Biden App, but somehow in February 2026, he still didn't have his "Asylum" hearing held. 2 fucking years, and he was still here with no hearing.

that a semi-truck driver arrested for causing a head on crash in Indiana that killed 4 people on Tuesday is a Kygryzstani national who entered the US via the Biden administration's CBP One cell phone app on 12/19/2023 at the Nogales, AZ port of entry, and was released into the US via parole by the Biden admin.

Police say 30-year-old Bekzhan Beishekeev was driving on SR 67 in Jay County, Indiana when he didn’t stop for another slowed semi-truck, swerving instead into oncoming traffic and crashing head-on into a van, killing four people, several of whom were reportedly Amish, according to local media.

ICE records show Beishekeev is now in ICE custody, meaning local law enforcement honored a detainer and already handed him over.

A reminder, the Biden era CBP One cell phone app allowed 50,000 to 60,000 otherwise inadmissible aliens to enter the US legally every month for two year humanitarian parole grants. President Trump terminated the program the day he was inaugurated, and has since turned it into a self deportation app.
