Marvin Lewis managed to make LaVar into a stud so why can't Williams? I like both Williams and LaVar and will ultimately support whatever decision the team makes, but I'm troubled by his absence from the field on 3rd downs and expected release.

Wasn't Antonio Pierce saying the same stuff at this time last year? How he loved being a Redskin and wanted to remain a Redskin? I'm not necessarily saying it's the same situation this time around. I just tend to be sort of skeptical when players bring the fans into their "negotiatons" with management. Almost like we're hostages. Player X says how much he loves the fans and the city and suddenly the team is in public relations crisis mode.
