Writer's Block - Writing Tips - Affect Vs. Effect

I think maybe it should have been "affect"

Schneed, what do you think?

In this case, it's all about the A.

Effect is a noun, Affect is a verb.

Sean Taylor's absence could have a deleterious effect on the team.

Sean Taylor's absence could affect the team in a deleterious manner.

I said deleterious. That proves I know how to use words! LOL

I've always used the 'bring about' test, I thought it worked here but then again I always hated grammar for this very reason. Too many rules, LOL

I think the saddest.........yet most provocative aspect of this thread is the fact, that I am so starved for New info, I QUICK scrolled down to see Schneed's repsonse.

LOL, the offseason is hard.

But MonkFan4Life did post a great article giving us a glimpse of GW's scheme changes. That article did seem to have some football meat on its bones.

JLC has said that GW spent time examining the Chicago Bears defense on film and plans to incorporate some of the things they do. They definitely have a more attacking defensive line. Seeing him cut the line loose on the rush is very interesting.
