Will Landry Hold Out?

9 times out of 10 the agents are just looking at what the guy in front of or behind their client in the draft was paid by their team and adjusting down or up accordingly. There are obviously some exceptions (when a potential top ten slides way down i.e., Quinn this year).

Keep an eye on those other picks and you'll have a good barometer of when Landry will get signed.

good post. The nfl's rookie allotment cap structure has helped a lot w/holdouts.

I'm surprised at how many here seem to think a holdout is such a low probability. The signings before him will dictate how much his agent asks for & on top of that his agent may use Desmond Howard's agents' logic; my client is an impact player & should get more than the guy drafted in front of him. Howard's agent said that because he was a wr/returner & Sean Gilbert was a DE that Howard should get paid more even though Gilbert was drafted before him. Landry's agent may play up the "best d-player in the draft" angle.

Plus, the skins may feel that they need to pay him as little as possible so that they won't have to pay ST as much to redo his deal. ST & Rosenhaus will be paying a lot of attention to Landry's deal. Who is LL's agent?
