Look at Troy Aikmans first year as a starter. Carson Palmers as well. There are a ton of first year starters that struggle. Tom Brady's first year as a starter the Pats didn't make it back to the playoffs after winning the SB. Patience and a true Number 1 WR is what will make JC a household name. Everyone expects this team to be great overnight.

Tom Brady won that SB in 2002 then they missed the playoffs and won in 04 and 05 and if I'm correct it was his 1st year with the team.

You aren't correct. Tom Brady's first year with the team was in 2000.

I don't believe he started that year did he? If my memory serves me correctly he came in for an injured Drew Bledsoe and led his team to a Superbowl victory.

I thought the year they beat the rams was his 2nd year. Bledsoe started that season and Brady mopped up. When Bledsoe was released the following year which was Brady's first full year as a starter they did not do so hot.
