The guys are lifelong Skins fans. Chris painted the first car he ever owned burgundy and gold. They took it to games when the Redskins soared. After this season's Carolina game, he towed it back from Charlotte with the flag upside down-- a sign of distress.

The guys are trying to raise about $8,000 to buy 'Sell Our Team Danny Boy' ads on Metro buses.

"I'm not one to just sit around and complain. I feel like if you're gonna be a complainer, you gotta go out and do something," said Charles.

Charles has dropped his season tickets. Chris still has his tickets, but they're urging fans to skip games and if they go, buy nothing.

"If we don't show up, Dan Snyder literally owns a bunch of concrete and copper in the middle of Landover," said Charles.

By the way, it wasn't just the Jetta. Until a few months ago, Charles had a burgundy and gold van. He traded it in during Cash for Clunkers.

If I had already prepaid for season tickets I would still be going. I didn’t say it, but I think Charles means that if you are buying tickets from stubhub or if you like to go just a couple times a year, forgo doing this. At least buy from the scalpers on the streets or from craigslist if you are going to go.

All right its better news then I initially thought. The station is 630am (DC’s oldest radio station). The good news is that they are the radio station that does the news breaks for other radio stations throughout the day, and guess who's story is included in those breaks!

Just saw the interviews on Fox 5 News....Great Stuff!!! This IS going to have an effect. Having known the man, I can say that DS is definitely going hurt from this. Keep the pressure on

I posted this on another thread, sorry for the repeat: I would not be surprised to see soething drastic come out of the FO very soon. Possibly a major personnel shake-up (we can only hope it's VC) or maybe DS breaks his media silence. I just have a gut feeling something big is on the horizon.

So the goal is to hurt DS. And what will hurting a petty(by most accounts) man accomplish. mImpetert was upfront in an early response to me, and I respect that, but anybody - even if you knew the man - that thinks this can have a positive end result really doesn't understand human nature. Petty people, when called to task or embarrassed, tend to react with negative and more harsh behavior. So far DS has done just that. If it goes on, and certainly the media - who for the most part hate DS - will do everything they can to make sure that the embarrassment and criticism of DS continues, then DS' actions are only going to display more of his reactive nature. This is not a good thing for the Skins organization.

I make no apologies for him, I wish he were a different man, but he is the owner of my favorite team. If I want my team to:

a- remain in dc
b- get better
c- stop this insanity

then I have to look at reality, and reality says Snyder will not only not sell the Skins due to something like this, but also will respond in kind, thus damaging the one thing in this process that I care about - the Skins.

Sanity > pettiness from any side.
