I think you are confusing Barron for Jason Smith, but I'd be willing to go as high as a 4th to trade and acquire Alex Barron. I don't think he's anything more than a right tackle who false starts a lot, but we don't have a player like that and even if we spend the first round choice on Okung, we still won't have a player like that. So while Gaither is probably both a better player and a better value, if we're set on going QB with that second round pick, Barron is a nice pickup for a cheap draft choice.

I wouldn't extend him though until he gets a chance to fit into this scheme.
