I guess that you do have the chance that we extend Campbell, but how long will it take for Shanahan to find himself a new young QB? If we get a QB in the first couple of rounds and another team doesn't get who they wanted then maybe we can pull a 3rd. |

Who knows what this FO will do. Alot of the moves thus far have been so completely out of right field, I wouldnt be surprised if we get TO and he tries to get Terry Bradshaw to be our backup QB or sumthin. Totally unexpected and close to the chest. |

Especially if the draft is in the 3rd and, for whatever reason, a team still does not have a guy for next year. JC's value may rise during the draft.

Re: Jared Gaither for our second round pick?
I would definately take a 3rd rd pick for Campbell. It seems obvious to me that he is not in their long-term plans, and that 3rd rd selection should net us a quality starter. Players like Ben Tate-Hardesty at RB, Misi-Butler for LB, Ducasse-Asamoah-Jerry for OL, Thomas-Troup for NT. Definately should get a key starter to plug a hole.
It is very difficult to read this new regime, they are making quite a few head-scratching moves, and so who knows what to expect come draft day. I feel that we can expect at least 1 trade, and probably 2 or 3. |

His stock is steadily rising the closer we get to opening day, IMO. I think if we wanted, we could definitely get a 3rd rounder for him, soon. Getting a second is a little shaky, we might need to package up our 4th rounder with him for that to happen. |

Re: Jared Gaither for our second round pick?
ya, but think if Suh or mcCoy drops to 4. They could be salivating over adding one of those names to that Defense of theirs. Anything could happen i guess.........

I don't know how you pass up on Suh at 4. I will break a TV if they pick Jimmy Clausen and Suh is on the board.

Re: Jared Gaither for our second round pick?
Not a bad trade, our 4th is 1800 pts, their 25th is 720, give Gaither a 15-16th value of 1000-1050 would equal out.
We could then get someone like Ryan Matthews-RB, Pouncey-C/G, or B.Campbell for RT, to go with Gaither-LT, and then select McCoy in the 2nd round. I would be ok with that. |

Re: Jared Gaither for our second round pick?
It's ridiculous. Baltimore earliest draft pick on their roster is 10th overall from 7 years ago. The fact that they continually compete is amazing. However looking back I don't know why they took Boller in the first round. The guy had something like a career 50% completion percentage while playing for Tedford. Other then that though Baltimore is pretty much "money" when it comes to making picks. A bunch of their picks in redrafts would easily be top 10, even top 5 picks (Reed, Lewis, Ngota, Suggs, Oher, Flacco, Grubbs)
I personally think Newsome and company are far and away the best front office in the game. Most front offices that are considered elite do well on a QB and ride that wave of success, while the Ravens have done what they have been doing for years without a franchise QB. Now that they have Flacco the skies the limit.

What's even crazier is that he's not even the guy they wanted. That was the year they were trying to draft Leftwich and were working on a trade with the Vikings to move from #10 to #7. But I guess amidst all the confusion, Tice and the Vikings missed their allotted time to make their selection and the Jaguars jumped in and took Leftwich
