Yeah, I even built a nice mahogany razor stand with a marble base for my shave bowl and added some gold leaf accents. ![]() When I broke my arm, I had to shift "obsessions" as my wife calls them from weightlifting to something else. Wetshaving somehow happened. It took me a few weeks to get the technique down where I could get a perfect shave without cuts, but it's amazing how superior old razors are to this new multi-blade garbage where they charge you a few bucks per cartridge. The best razors were made in the 50s and 60s. That black-handled adjustable one I posted is a 1970. Bought a few razors off eBay, a few from Antique shops...they polish up amazingly with a Dremel and some MAAS Metal Polish. They look cool on my counter too. Bonus - Talking the wife into letting me shave her legs.

There are single-edge blades too (for SE razors) but they're about obsolete now. They aren't as good anyways. That's why you learn to do it right first. ![]() She'll love the warm lather. If you do it right, you can shave more than her legs.

Re: F....Paper Cuts
agreed, there's a little bit of creep factor involved with shaving someone else I think
