I hate paper cuts too, but last week I had a glass tube-style solar panel (yes the kind that go on a roof and measures about 12 feet by 8 feet) fell off a store display and sliced my upper arm open. Made a gash big enough I could have slid my wallet in it like a pocket. Buckets of blood. Emergency room. Stitches. Ouch.

Never saw that much blood in my life. I left blood in the ER room, all over their X-ray machine, the bed, the doctor.

While they were working on me, some Mexicans were cursing and yelling in Spanish about waiting. The doc said I was the priority, I actually had a real emergency. That was nice to hear. Great ER, will go there again if I have to.

Consider yourself lucky, Matty.

Interesting that you managed to find out their nationality while spewing blood

Pics of the aftermath?

What do you guys do with papercuts? If I have chap-stik or vaseline or whatever I use that if it's bothering me.

I hope you've got yourself some legal representation on this one. When I was a kid, some family friends were shopping at a hardware store, and something fell off a high shelf and struck their 4 year old in the head. He had a pretty serious injury. They got all medical bills paid for by the company, and a six figure settlement to boot.

Paper cuts suck ass. For paper cuts (and knicks when I'm shaving), I use a styptic pencil. styptic pencil.

Re: F....Paper Cuts

I don't think I've seen a styptic pencil since I was looking at my grandfather's shaving gear after he passed.. wish I had kept some of those doubles and singles, but I was too young to know what was up at that point.

Got basketball on your mind?

I keep around some Cayenne and Myrrh Gum for any significant cuts.

It's taken care of, I'm not paying a dime.

I keep a styptic pencil around for shaving incidents.

I shave with DE razors and a shaving brush like your Grandpa. Blows the Derek Jeter 5-blade monstrosities out of the water in shave quality and cost of blades.

I'll see if I have anything to sell you.

I could even assemble a "starter kit" if you want.
