Proper phrasing is "At what time do you eat dinner?" But who TF cares.

I've got kids, so about 6pm. Even when I didn't though, I would always go nuts if I didn't eat by 7pm. My parents liked to serve at 8pm on weekends, that was a major source of angst in the house. My brothers and I would get famished by 7. But as they say, Golden Rule: he who has the gold makes the rules. And my dad had the gold!

It's a rule for Latin that does not carry over well to the English language. Many experts have said that it's a dead rule. ha ha ha..
