Varly's playing like Halack in the first two rounds of the playoffs last year. 37 saves on 38 shots (.974 Save Percentage). We're lucky to have two great young netminders.

Yeah, I just hope he and Neuvy stay consistent throughout the season and the playoffs. I think having a hot netminder and solid defense goes a lot further in the playoffs than having a team with a great offense that can score at will. The Caps trade for Scott Hannan just reinforces that idea.

With all that being said, Varly was ballin tonight. He had an amazing save in the first period and he was consistent throughout the night, the only goal he gave up was that fluky one that hit Carlson.
