Seriously, I am so sick of having to bring in guys that have been developed elsewhere and then overpay for them -- getting a system where we build through the draft and can afford to let long time veterans go to other teams and restock draft picks is the system that the best teams in the league have instituted.

You'd think it would be obvious to us by now that that's how you build a team, but something in the water at Redskins Park had everybody convinced that we are a player or two away from being a consistently winning football team. I think we're changing that mentality this year, although in future years I don't anticipate so many free agent signings.

if we had gone 8-8 or 9-7 it'd mean we probably would need this many players, but our roster was worse than awful and paper thin... galloway? for what? 12 games? *sigh*

That is the only way that we are going to be good this year: if our "farm system" pays off.

Why don't we take a look at Samson Satele the UrFA center for the Raiders.

Panthers have interest in Carlos Rogers | ProFootballTalk

IMO he's better of trying to come back here.

If he's looking for a big pay day and the Panther's are it he's stupid. They are garbage. Why would anyone want to go from mediocre to crappy. It's like taking a dump in a McDonald's bag instead of using a port-a-potty. Stupid.

If Cam Newton suprises people this season the Panthers have a good shot at rebounding. Their defense isn't bad, they have a good running game. I think Clausen under center was a big reason why the lost a lot of games last year. If Rogers is looking for a payday and heads to Carolina good luck to him. I'd like to see him back but not on a big money deal.

But only if they give up a first and a third for him.

seriously? kind of hope he stays - we didn't get Nnamdi or DRC so CB corps could be pretty thin if he leaves.

I'd rather have Antonio Cromartie, unless he already signed.

jets are going to get him... most likely, unless he feels disrepected to the point of leaving.
