That's okay...you will come around after we win the NFC East.

Peyton: I tell you what, if you make your son "disappear" and let me run the offense I want to play, I'll come to Washington and save your hide.

Shanny: Sold!

My Daddy said I can come play for ya'll. I wanted to go to San Diego but Daddy said that they're nothing but a bunch of tree huggin liberals.

Speaking of this, Rich Tandler just posted this, which I completely agree with...

Rich Tandler
I've said this before but if Mike/Kyle Shanahan can't figure out a way to make things work with P. Manning both should be fired now.

Definitely agree with Tandler.

I know some people are leery of making a move like this because of what happened with McNabb, but Manning is certainly no McNabb.

Manning's work ethic and leadership are off the charts compared to McNabb, so much so it's not even worth discussing.

Plus all it would take is money to get Manning, no picks.

Of course Peyton doesn't come w/the issues McNabb did, but I think the McNabb analogy is still relevant, if only because both 1) are old, 2) been only w/one team/system, and 3) the skins have a rep for such signings not working.

In addition to that, PM has health issues. I agree w/Theisman on this one, I actually think signing Peyton is a pretty big risk for Shanny even if he's declared fully healthy. If he could draft his future qb in 1st or 2nd & sign Petyon it would give him something to fall back on. I hope Smoot's info proves true & we are not interested.

It's old info I had, or maybe better said wrong info. Yeah, I can admit it. I didn't think it was genuine but now that I know more information, and know who the catalyst is behind it, I can comfortably say that this isn't just a smokescreen. The interest is sincere and the feeling is mutual. I had heard that Mike Shanahan was against it, but that was (it turns out) highly exaggerated.

Will he sign here? I don't know. I still think the Jets are a very strong possibility...and Mark Sanchez to the Redskins!

But seriously, I don't know if we'll sign Manning but I've accepted that it's very possible. Actually, I love the idea of a healthy Manning. So long as we add one or two young QBs. That was always my problem with the McNabb move.

Manning is not McNabb but the situation is similar. When they got Mcnabb they seemed content with that and did nothing to secure the position long term...and then when it didn't work they tossed Rex in there. I hope they learned their lesson and think beyond just the 2012 starter...
