Not all that surprising, bigger surprise is that he wasn't placed on IR before the season started.

Some of you know I was saying back in July he was a strong candidate for IR. Never could quite get healthy enough.

I still hear Royster may miss some time though. Week or two perhaps

I never knew that his achilles was that big of an issue. If it's a Landry type achilles thing, I hope Helu just gets the surgery asap and gets himself right. He's got a lot of football in front of him.

Yeah I talked about it with the other mods during that two week span you were mod-banned for...well you know what you did with that chicken and the duct tape.

As a lawyer, the disgusting things people are capable of rarely surprises me. I mean, sure, who hasn't heard of using a chicken for ... shall we say ... gratification? I mean, in Cecil County, Maryland, it's practically a morning ritual. However, based on the representations of my client, the Chicken, I am shocked and amazed at the abhorrent nature of GMScud's actions.

Here's a Helu question: could the achilles injuries led to turf toe? I'm thinking about how athletes will compensate for an injury in their step or stride, which can lead to other injuries.

My curiousity is because it seems strange and pretty worrisome Helu got turf toe w/o a lot of miles, like how injury prone is he?

I hate to say it, but Helu is just a plain sissy. Remember the days when running backs such as John Riggins, Earl Campbell, Walter Payton, Tony Dorsett, Marcus Allen, Curt Warner, Ernest Byner, Franco Harris, Barry Sanders, and Emmit Smith all carried the load year in and year out and remained injury free? It seems these current day running backs are not of that mold anymore. When Lombardi coached, running backs and players of other positions played with injuries. Now, players have to sit out 2-3 weeks nursing this, and nursing that. Certain players have become sissies. Bottom damn line!

Ever have turf toe? Or any sort of significant foot injury?

The guys you list were far from being "injury free".
