Now the defense is garbage, so evidently all the FA signings were a waste. Some are now saying the WR corp wasn't ever supposed to be complete and we'll draft/sign more next year.

In politics, I believe it's called the bait and switch. It's the story of Shanny's career since John hung up his jersey.

I think we need help in the secondary, otherwise I think our bigger issue is we need our guys healthy and continuing to develop. And Haslett's lost the locker room

Smoot in your opinion what do you see us doing in the draft and free agency? Also, what is your thoughts on what happens with Shannahan?

Too early to really know in regards to draft/free agency.

I think as long as he wants to stay Shanahan will stay. Think there'll be significant changes with the coaching staff though.

Is there any possible scenario where Kyle becomes OUR head coach in 2013?

I dont see any circumstance where Mike is here for the 2015 season. So if we lose kyle, we lose our succession plan, continuity, and could be starting from scratch again in 2015.

It's possible but not likely. He's got potentially two great offers. One as HC. One as Assistant HC. Depending on how some things shake out.

Kyle isn't necessarily the heir apparent here anyway.

If things happen as I expect they might, they won't be starting from scratch

As much as I like Kyle, I simply think he's too young at this stage for a HC job. I have no doubt about his abilities, but will players respect a guy who might be the same age or even younger than some of the guys he's coaching.

The players already do respect him. He really earned their respect when he took the high road against McNabb's abuse the summer of 2010

But that's neither here nor there. If the team that may want to hire him as HC actually does it will be very exciting to see. If the team that he wants to go to hires him to be the assistant HC, it will be very curious to see

Other than the eagles, I don't foresee any "attractive" HC openings. Why not wait 1-2 years to be HC here. If he's not heir apparent then who is? There's no one else on this staff worthy of being higher than they already are.

Id "fire" mike in a heartbeat if it meant keeping Kyle. Rg3 has benefitted for having a bright young OC like Kyle. With anyone else I see him taking a step back.

whattttt, thats pretty bad. Kinda heard through Keim article that certain guys in the secondary didnt like playing certain coverages at certain times ie. Hall last year and Wilson this year and were complaining. Kinda surprised to hear he's lost the locker room, id like to hear what Fletcher would say to that.
