I really like your "Darth Hoody" nickname. Spot on and unforgettable. Maybe he is Philip Rivers' father.

Did they sign Randy Moss and Wes Welker too?

Re: Chiefs sign Cassel to 6-yr 63M deal
Personally I think Tyler Thigpen is getting the shaft. I thought he had a pretty good year last year his first season as a starter. But I guess the knock on him is he's too short and won't ever be the franchise QB Cassel could be.

They're taking a chance here, but most fa/vet contracts are just that. If they've got a solid offense in 2 years this signing will look fine.

Bobby Engram gives the Chiefs a good veteran for the time being

Cassel got 63 how much is guaranteed. The Skins are going to wish they signed JC to a contract he's going to break the bank.

I think this is yet another dumb move by a dumb orginization. Getting Cassel was not dumb IMO, paying him a HUGE amount of salary is. He has not proven ANYTHING yet. I guess you don't have to in this league.

Re: Chiefs sign Cassel to 6-yr 63M deal
That's a bold assumption. What IF Campbell throws for 3600-3700 yards and 20 or 21 tds? What would you pay him?

Re: Chiefs sign Cassel to 6-yr 63M deal
If he does that well in his second year in the WCO with Thomas, Kelly, and Davis in their second year and an offensive line that hasn't changed much from last year, I'd pay him a LOT. The 3rd year should be GREAT!
