The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is a collection of community-based organizations in the United States that advocate for low- and moderate-income families by working on neighborhood safety, voter registration, health care, affordable housing, and other social issues. ACORN has over 400,000 members and more than 1,200 neighborhood chapters[1] in over 100 cities across the U.S.,[2] as well as in Argentina, Canada, Mexico, and Peru. ACORN was founded in 1970 by Wade Rathke and Gary Delgado.[3] Maude Hurd has been National President of ACORN since 1990.

ACORN's priorities have included: better housing and wages for the poor, more community development investment from banks and governments, better public schools, and other social justice issues. ACORN pursues these goals through demonstration, negotiation, lobbying for legislation, and voter participation.[4] ACORN comprises a number of legally distinct non-profit entities including a nationwide umbrella organization established as a 501(c)(4) that performs lobbying; local chapters established as 501(c)(3) nonpartisan charities; and the ACORN Housing Corporation. These entities champion liberal and labor-oriented causes. The organization has been the subject of numerous controversies.
My response is in order as they are high lighted;
-you mean voter fraud
-Forcing banks to give out bad loans to people who could not afford a home that lead to alot of the banking problems
-see my last response
-have you seen the decline in pubilc school testing
- you said they are nonpartisan (yea right
-then you said "champion liberal and labor-oriented cause. ok then why did you say the group was nonpartisan then use the term liberal to describe them.

As a side note if they use tax payers money to open a whore house can tax payers write it off as a donation when paying for a BJ? Think then an old man could get his viagra from health coverage and then go get a BJ all on the tax payers dime. Maybe getting old won't be that bad.

Acorn has pushed for Comm. Dev. Investment Featured Article - WSJ.com . We ended up with the CRA / Subprime lending . Local News | Seven charged in vote-fraud scheme | Seattle Times Newspaper They have been involved in voter fraud . My problem aside from these and helping w/ teenage prostitution and tax evation , is there idea of helping the " poor " is to elect people who take from us in the middle class and our small business owners , who create jobs and already pay our fair share of taxes . Acorn is done ,,, finished .

Barney should be in prison for the problems he's caused this nation. However, he'd probably enjoy it.
