Re: It's Dallas Week!
All I need to become a true believer in the future of the Redskins franchise is for the Skins to bring it against Dallas on Thanksgiving.
Before the Eagles game, I said that my faith in Mike Shanahan was wavering and that I needed to see an all-out effort by the Skins against the Eagles and the Cowboys this week to regain my faith in him. As of now, the Skins delivered against the Eagles and I think they'll play a very determined game against the Cowboys, as well. For me, the Skins don't need to have a winning record this season for Mike Shanahan to win me over. They never did. They just need to play hard nearly every week. That is what I need to see from Shanahan as a leader. Now, I'm looking forward to seeing the Skins play like men possessed against the Cowboys. Go Redskins! Knock the dog snot out of the Cowboys!

Re: It's Dallas Week!
Dallas OL is a mess, Tryon Smith will not play, hopefully Haslett will put pressure and not regress like he has before. RGIII will be our version of Clint Longley.

Re: It's Dallas Week!
NC Skins, now that's funny. lol. Poor ole Charlie Brown. lol.
This game worries me. Beginning of the year I had us beating them twice, now they have looked better then what I thought. Please don't let the Eagles game fool you. Even the announcers said the Skins were having a hard time getting anything going on offense. I know the 31 points looks good but don't let it fool you. We need to utilize the play action more and stop with the pitch to the RB. It didn't work all game until the 4th quarter when the Eagles were over playing their positions trying to make something happen. I could see a pitch to a RB and let the RB throw the ball to maybe the TE or something once all the defensive players have committed to stop the run. We need this game to pull us even with Dallas and tied with 2nd in the division. The Skins need to hog the ball and not let Dallas offense get the ball much like we did with the Saints. Skins 34 Dallas 24 |

Dallas struggled in beating the lowly Browns. I believe the Skins can pull this one out.

Re: It's Dallas Week!
I think the Redskins can do a great job on both sides of the ball in this game. Dallas is still a good team but the Redskins are better. I say we are capable of defeating them by 3 TDs.

Re: It's Dallas Week!
Wow. I hope that's right. There is no question that the Redskins are capable of playing really well at times (Eagles, Saints), but they're also capable of the occasional stinker (Steelers, Panthers), and often times, one gets both in a single game (Bengals and Giants games this year). If they can put together a complete game -- a good 60 minutes on both sides of the ball and special teams, they can certainly beat Dallas, and by a considerable margin. It would help to cut down on the penalties too. I think ball control -- a healthy dose of Morris and some TE passes up the gut (Paulsen is showing some real grit -- great reach for the TD yesterday) will be key.

Re: It's Dallas Week!
I hope we can pull it out but this game is gonna be a flat out battle and will go dowwn to the last possession. I honestly think that both teams will bring their "A" games on both sides of the ball, not really expecting a stinker from either team. This, IMO, is going to be one of those back and forth classics that folks will talk about for a long time. With that said........I expect that we willl see the EXACT, mark my words, EXACT, same outcome as the Giants game a few weeks back. RG3 leads a stellar TD drive in thew 4th quarter which will leave about 1:25-1:20 for the Cowsissies...Romo hooks up with Miles Austin on a blown coverage on the final drive for the win. HOWEVER, I do believe the Skins will show up and a play a solid all-around game until, ultimately our biggest flaw will show. It is games like these that flaws get exposed and determine outcomes.
Skins: 28 Cowsissies: 31

Re: It's Dallas Week!
and we got smacked by the one win panthers. Regardless of what has happened thusfar, anyone can win this game. I think our team is in a better position to pull it out, but should we lose, weirder things have happened for damn sure.

I hate Dallas...and Kyle Shanahan really cannot be the very worst offensive coordinator the Redskins have ever had, but he's trying awfully hard!

Re: It's Dallas Week!
So pumped for this game, ever since I was a kid, even before I became a football (or Skins) fan I hated the Cowboys. Not only that, I actually get to watch this game live instead of having to wait until midnight or so for GameRewind to put it up not to mention having to dodge people talking about the score all day (usually work Sundays and Mondays during game times). On top of all that I will be enjoying some amazing food and a few beers.
Just need a complete Skins blowout win and you can't ask for a better Thursday off than that. |
