It's Dallas Week!
Getting it started early since the game is early! We got a football life with John Riggins on Weds. Then, Dallas on Thursday! We win this week, and it'll be like the organization has been pumped full of lightning.
I'm so damn excited for Thursday that I took vacation for work. Redskins 120 Dallas 3

Loved how our D played, and think meriweather being back with his playmaking and hitting ability really helps, but this would help alot as well if smith is out

Re: It's Dallas Week!
Throw out all the injuries, all the hype of certain players, all the stats, all the media snippets, this is a flat out rivalry. Both teams will play each other close and this game can go either way. We both know and hate each other so much so this will be great.
I'm so hyped for this game! Oh and Dallas, I'd like you to meet my new franchise QB. Robert, this is Dallas. Dallas meet Robert.

Re: It's Dallas Week!
This is the biggest game by far of the Shanahan tenure here in my honest opinion. This is a statement game, or Shanahan statement game if you will. A win in Dallas in late November on national tv would propel this team into legitimate playoff contention, start making believers of doubters, and serve notice that this team is indeed headed in the right direction. A loss means same old, same old.
It has been too long since Washington has won this type of game. It's time. It should be a playoff atmosphere against a heated and hated foe. Shanahan needs to get this team to play their best football, and pull this win out period. This is a gauntlet game, a gut check, no doubt about it. Dallas is very beatable, no excuses. Find a way to win this game! Go Skins! Last edited by jdc65; 11-19-2012 at 05:31 AM. |

This will be the greatest day of the year. The best holiday and a skins/boys game? Awesome. If anyone tries to disturb me during this game I'll throw a sweet potato at their face.

Re: It's Dallas Week!
This is my first post here. Thank you Warpath for accepting me in this forum family. Now to the good stuff. This week can define this franchise going forward. If we win this game we will play the VaGiants in our house with the division lead on the line. If they lose to Packers of coarse. But man I'm hype for this game. This is a playoff game for both teams. So we should see the best out of both. Browns got to Romo alot but their secondary was banged up playing rookies and old man Sheldon Brown. I kinda of have confidence we will show up again on defense. I also believe RG3 will have a big day. I say this game he has a stat line of 250 yards passing 2 TDs rushing for 80 yards and another rushing TD. I'll say 27-21 our way. Hail!!!!

Re: It's Dallas Week!
All I need to become a true believer in the future of the Redskins franchise is for the Skins to bring it against Dallas on Thanksgiving.
Before the Eagles game, I said that my faith in Mike Shanahan was wavering and that I needed to see an all-out effort by the Skins against the Eagles and the Cowboys this week to regain my faith in him. As of now, the Skins delivered against the Eagles and I think they'll play a very determined game against the Cowboys, as well. For me, the Skins don't need to have a winning record this season for Mike Shanahan to win me over. They never did. They just need to play hard nearly every week. That is what I need to see from Shanahan as a leader. Now, I'm looking forward to seeing the Skins play like men possessed against the Cowboys. Go Redskins! Knock the dog snot out of the Cowboys!

Re: It's Dallas Week!
NC Skins, now that's funny. lol. Poor ole Charlie Brown. lol.
This game worries me. Beginning of the year I had us beating them twice, now they have looked better then what I thought. Please don't let the Eagles game fool you. Even the announcers said the Skins were having a hard time getting anything going on offense. I know the 31 points looks good but don't let it fool you. We need to utilize the play action more and stop with the pitch to the RB. It didn't work all game until the 4th quarter when the Eagles were over playing their positions trying to make something happen. I could see a pitch to a RB and let the RB throw the ball to maybe the TE or something once all the defensive players have committed to stop the run. We need this game to pull us even with Dallas and tied with 2nd in the division. The Skins need to hog the ball and not let Dallas offense get the ball much like we did with the Saints. Re: It's Dallas Week!
Dallas OL is a mess, Tryon Smith will not play, hopefully Haslett will put pressure and not regress like he has before. RGIII will be our version of Clint Longley.

Re: It's Dallas Week!
Dallas struggled in beating the lowly Browns. I believe the Skins can pull this one out.

Re: It's Dallas Week!
I hate Dallas...and Kyle Shanahan really cannot be the very worst offensive coordinator the Redskins have ever had, but he's trying awfully hard!
