I dont' know who we are going to end up getting, I saw a rumor that we dealt FB Byran Johnson to the Bears for their 5th round pick. So that would leave the H - back position wide open if we draft Winslow. Taylor will make the overall defense beter and he would make me feel better about losing champ. Lose a premiere cb and gain a premiere safety. now that trotter will also be leaving i hope we are able to get Holdman in free agentcy :thumb: .

Winslow lead the Canes in receptions and had a horrible quarterback. He was one of the Heisman favorites until everyone saw how horrible the Canes QB was. The Canes would have lost more games if it wasnt for him, theres a highlight of him leaping over a player and making a one handed catch on fourth down on a drive that lead to a win. They are both studs, but I agree that he woudl be a luxury.

Jones did not run all over the Canes in the game that they threw five passes, it was the year before. What VT did was bring in Vicks younger brother to play QB just for that one game, and he did all the running. When Miami played FSU, Sean Taylor won that game. Both becuase he scored, and because of all hes key picks. I think he had three that game, but they made fun of him becuase he could have had over six because of the plays he made put deflected the ball instead.

it would be an amazing thing to have both of them. Id like to think we will do well next year where we could get rid of our pick for next year to get both, but i dont see it happening

You know how depressing it would be if we ended up drafting T. Harris with teh 5th pick.... Im glad we traded B. Johnson because it at minimum give me more hope that we will draft either Winslow or Taylor

ARE you kidding me? we are going to hammer team's next year, playoff's at the very least, besides if we obtain what we need this year we won't have need's next year, I say grab the talent why it's there, you know there are times in the draft when you really can't find an impact player, this year is loaded with them, I say strike while the iron is hot, next year we may not need pick's.

I think a team would bite if we gave them Trotter, Gardner and next year's first. Maybe 1st and 4th or something of the sort. But a team that has a lot of holes to fill get's two good veterans and an extra first next year. I think we need to have another pick at the browns spot or higher to guarantee both Winslow and Taylor.

I dont see there being anyway to get both of them without creating more holes. Teams wouldnt take a first next year and give up a top then pick this year. Nothing says they will get such a high pick in nexts years draft, id like to think the Skins wont have a top five pick next year.

I am curious where people have been coming up with these far fetched trade scenarios? Gardner for a 1st or 2nd round pick? Trotter for anything?

David Boston and Terrell Owens recently were traded for peanuts. Boston and T.O. are twice the talent of Gardner and Trotter.
There is no way Gardner or Trotter or the combination of both and next years 1st round pick will get us the 4th or 6th pick this year.
High draft picks this year are more value-able because of the high number of talented players coming out this year. This is an unusual year because the player picked 6th is as talented as the player picked 1st. The talent level between the 1st and 6th this year will be very little. Next year most likely won't be this way.

It's just wishful thinking ... it ain't gonna happen. But if Gibbs can restock our draft with fourth, fifth, sixth round picks be trading a few guys that aren't in our plans anymore, I think that's great and I'm sure there will be some talent at those slots.

T.O, Boston, Dillon all have a ton of baggage and teams dont want to risk taking them. But getting much for Trotter and Gardner is still wishful thinking

We couldnt get a 6th pick in the draft for Bailey, much less them... Of course we had a few first four picks offered for Ramsey, its all about what teams need. The draft has a ton of extremely talented players, but its not that deep at a lot of positions

We couldn't get the 6th because the Lions have too many holes to fill. If they were to get Trotter, Gardner, and Trung or Betts I think they might bite. Plus a 1st and 3rd or 4th next year? That will help them fill A LOT of holes. I don't know how reworked contracts, etc might work, but I think teams that have a lot of needs might bite. Sure, they get a few players this year, but they also get two more next year in the draft.

I think it is very far fetched, but I could also see a team like Atlanta, Detroit, or Cleveland taking it. Trotter, Gardner, Trung or Betts plus a 1st and 3rd next year. I'm sure that's worth 1 pick this year. IF they're looking to trade down, I don't think they'll find a better deal.
