Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Panthers)
DeAngelo Hall is going to get a lot of grief today, but let's not overstate that missed tackle on Delhomme. The game was lost anyway.
Even if Carolina was forced to punt, does anybody really believe we would have marched down the field for the game-winning/tying score? |

Zorn couldn't lead a group of girl scouts to a ice cream parlor giving away free ice cream. Dum ass. But also to be fare to him, the offense sucks and blame that on Snyder

I think we've learned one very valuable thing from all of this: do not hire any coach whose name is any combination of the letters N,O,R, and V.

Stephon Heyer: You're right on this point, but you left out Batiste. Bryon Westbrook: Just a dumb play. DeAngelo Hall: He needs to work on his tackling. Tackling Drills All Next Week. Joe Gibbs: Not to blame at all, this is still Gibbs team, Zorn has the D and the running plays from Gibbs, the problem is the passing game, and playcalling. Look at the good players that he brought in. Orakpo: Good player at DE, they need the let him play DE not linebacker. King beat him for the touchdown, Zorn is HC he needs to change that today. Derek Anderson goes 2-17: And people say JC is a bad QB, look at the alternatives. I'm open for almost anyone to come in as HC now, Grimm or almost anyone from the Gibbs coaching tree. |

I understand that it's easy to just say all blame goes to Cerrato and all credit goes to Gibbs...but let's be real here. Yes, Gibbs brought in some great players and did some great thing his second time around. But he did also make some big personnel blunders (I didn't even mention the Campbell trade which wasn't just a swap of first rounders and could end up being a blunder as well) that have negatively impacted us. There's no getting around that

Isn't it really irrelivent how much of the fault actually lies with Vinny? I could be wrong but I read your posts a lot and I think that you believe that we would be better off if Vinny made more of the decisions then he has been allowed to make. In a way that is actually the same exact reason why most of us want him out. He does not have the clout as a GM and the respect of Snyder to make him step back. The only way the Redskins can win at all under Snyder is to have a GM that Snyder respects enough to step back. As long as Vinny is in charge of personel Snyder will always be too involved.

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Panthers)
Bet your ass he would. He knows the Skins Super Bowl teams won because of dominant O line play, good Defenses and whoever the hell they had available to suit up at QB, RB and WR. With the exception of the 1982 team. Riggins, of course, consumed the Dolphins with firebolts from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse.:headbange
