No, just stating the fact that Snyder was pulling a lot of those strings back then.

Exactly, it was like Vinny was the pilot but Danny told him when to turn land etc..technical Vinny was flying the plane but Danny was the one in control.

Re: Cousins 3.0, he's going to sign the franchise tag

Cousins will be 29 when this 2017 season starts (dob 8/19/88). He will be at least 1 year older when 2018 season starts.

At what point does Cousins and McCartney have to consider age as a motivating factor to get a LTD done.

---------------------------------------

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Allen and Cousins’ agent Mike McCartney had their first face-to-face meeting about the contract for the first time in two years at last month’s league meetings. They have since met a second time, which is part of an “improved, encouraging tone” that has created hope that a deal could get done by the deadline or after the 2017 season if things don’t move quite that quickly.

Report: Kirk Cousins contract talks picking up | ProFootballTalk

Article from 6/7/17 .... I guess the good news is that they are finally talking, but oddly how the hell do you go 2 years without having face to face talks w Cousins agent? Im sure Bruce's response will be that they have telephones in Hawaii but man.

It gets done on Sunday. 23.5 per. 57m guaranteed

So let's take a poll, does it get done, when and totals?

Now

I say it gets done Monday morning, an extension starting in 2018, KC keeping he's tag money, and after that: 5 year, 25/y, around 65 guaranteed.

Looks like crazy money but it'll look like a bargain 2 years from now, after guys like Russel Wilson, Stafford, Palmer, Ryan, Alex Smith and so on get their new contracts.

My thought was that it would be something creative to make up for the fact that he is guaranteed so much in the first two years if we tag him again. Something like 62.5, but set up in a way where he gets it all in the first two years.

Re: Cousins 3.0, he's going to sign the franchise tag

Sunday
6 years 150m total value, 85 injury guaranted, 53.5mil fully guaranteed
(fully guaranteed = FT this year + transition tag amount next year +750K base each year, injury covers 3 full years)

I don't see how Cousins signs anything less.

I also think the deafening silence is very good news. If it was not happening, I believe that Cousins camp would be letting teams know the Skins numbers weren't to his liking.

Here was my prediction. I don't see how KC didn't sign BA's quoted numbers. Must be nice to feel no need to lock in 70+million dollars.

Re: Cousins 3.0, he's going to sign the franchise tag

At this point, who's fault it is doesn't matter. He doesn't want to be here and we should try to trade him and hope Colt can stay healthy for a year and Sudfeld takes a leap in his 2nd year. I don't want a lame duck qb leading our team.

Re: Cousins 3.0, he's going to sign the franchise tag

I don't know if he wants to play here or not. Maybe he really wants to stay but he believes waiting until next season will drive the price tag up so high that signing right now doesn't make any sense. Maybe he just wants out. The one thing I do know, is that he's the Redskins QB next season so I hope he lights it up and takes us back to the playoffs. If he does that, the Redskins can opt to blow him away with a contract offer or let him walk. I'm just glad I held off on buying a Cousins jersey.

But its not about the money!
