Re: The everything Gruden thread
AS physically gifted he might be we have bigger needs. Furthermore most heisman winners end up being a bust.....

Re: The everything Gruden thread
The only thing that offends me is the fact that it isn't funny. Maybe he could be funnier if his mouth wasn't so full.

Re: The everything Gruden thread
Does anybody believe Rambo's comment that Redskins aren't required to watch film, wtf?
It is beyond the pale we cut a draft pick who's now playing solid football...for a well coached team. But that's not a surprise. If his statement is true though, I just don't know how anybody on the coaching staff this season can be retained. |

No, but I would believe that nobody is checking to see that they do. There is a management saying that goes: "Inspect, don't expect".

ryan clark took exception to that by not denying that players arent putting in the work but by saying cooley didnt stay late either. would have been great if clark addressed the issue (are skins players putting in the work?) instead of deflecting and addressing cooley's own past habits. these guys are not putting in the work. not even close. they are not professionals. they are like walmart employees .. doing the bare minimum required. its on the coaches to prepare and set a professional atmosphere. its on the players to be professionals, take pride in their work and follow the coaches lead.

Re: The everything Gruden thread
It's about finding the right people. You shouldn't HAVE to force players to watch film in the NFL. They are in a business and if you can't perform in that business you get replaced.

Re: The everything Gruden thread
did anyone else see in last nights game at the half, camera shows all the players from both teams heading into the tunnel ... it then shows drew brees for a split second.
he is standing all alone on the sideline looking at film/screen grabs on his ipad. they also showed a clip of him working on 3-5-7 step drops, talking about his work ethic and dedication. sigh ...

Also, this sudden Bacarri Rambo love is hilarious. He repeatedly failed to perform here, wen through multiple workouts for other teams. Good for him for finding a job in Buffalo and for having a good game, but let's not send him to Canton yet
