You're absolutely right GMANC. We should close this. But I'm a masochist (or is it sadist?) and I'm enjoying watching the "knowledge" slowly seep out of me throughout this thread.
Seriously, though I just don't understand why Ramsey is owed an apology for playing today?

Because I said this is a strange discussion? I'm sorry if you're offended, but this is really silly. You are offended because my opinion is that your opinion is strange. Figure that one out. Isn't this just a difference of opinions? How are either of us wrong? We're both entitled to our own opinions, right? I don't agree with you, you don't agree with me, end of discussion. There are no insults here, if you feel that way that's not my intention. |

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
I kind of expected some people disagreeing about today's game, but I didn't really see this being a topic to argue about. If anything I expected there to be some nonsense thread about benching Brunnel for Ramsey, lol. The game was completely out of hand, even though I was still holding out hope until about the skins couldn't convert on 4th and goal. Risking your starters health in a game that u have absolutelty no shot at coming back in just doesn't make any sense, that's part of what having back ups is for. yeah it sux, plain and simple, but it would suck a lot more as it pertains to the Skins season if brunnel or moss or portis or cooley got hurt/hurt more. We all respect everyone else's opion here, excluding dopes like zachmills and company, so we all just need to relax after a very very tough game to watch.

We are better than this, but this kind of loss is not one we saw coming. If there was ever a performance that would throw gasoline on the "flamers" this was it. Next Sunday can't get here quick enough to get rid of the stench of today's loss. |

If I overreacted I have only one excuse and that is I have to wear this all week long as my fricking avatar on my own sports boards.

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
I dont think Gibbs gave up but when a team is this unprepared/unmotivated/unemotional/etc. to play than its the coaches fault for not having them mentally prepared.
I think this team got a little too full of itself after beating a weak SF team. This game will surely bring them back to earth. The game's over, it cant be changed, bring on Philly and lets see what happens. |

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
I agree that Patrick Ramsey should have NEVER been put in the game. After being told for months that "he was the man", Ramsey was immediately benched and basically told that he was no good and would never be in Gibbs' plans -- all prior to completing a single half of a game! Either Burnell should have finished the game, or the "quarterback of the future" should have taken his place. Personally, I think Burnell should have finished what he started. If he had gotten hurt, then so what. Who on the coaching staff would have given a crap if Ramsey had gotten hurt.

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
Ramsey is the #2 QB, that's what the #2 QB does. He comes in in relief.
Since when does a pro players feelings come into it? |
