ONE: We dont even have the season schedule yet TWO: We don't know who is going to be on the roster yet. THREE: The only thing that has happened thus far is the ink is still wet on a couple of contracts, and the guys have only been lifting weights together for about 10 days now. FOUR: Not one practice has occured. McNabb "played catch" with Cooley and Kelly. But allow me to enlighted you on one particular fact. Those 10 payers that the Redskins cut, it was most certainly a cost saving measure. To think otherwise just advertises that it is you that has no clue. At the end of the day, what has really transpired thus far? Released 10 players Signed 8 players thus far and only ONE of those players is under 30 (but will turn 30 mid-season) I agree, to a point, with the threads topic. SSDD. All the free-agents, and trades acquired are all on the wrong side of 30. I might be wrong, and for the fans sake I hope I am. But honestly, when you really look at what has transpired, besides coaching, what has changed? Still trading draft picks for players on the wrong side of 30. Still signing free agents on the wrong side of 30. |

Re: Different Season, Same Trap
They were all key locker room guys at the least. Griffin was definitely a key guy on and off the field.

Re: Different Season, Same Trap
On a side note has anyone added McNabb to the Skins in Madden?
It's just so weird. In a good way though. |

Re: Different Season, Same Trap
I know that things look simaliar from the outside, but this is not the same team that will suit up in the fall nor is this business as usual for the Redskins. To much has already changed, though it seems that some things have stayed the same. The addition of the players that have already entered the team at Redskins Park may have the same feel as the past. BUT BA and MS must rebuild with thier players and it starts by dropping some of the old faces that have not won much of anything since they have been here. That also means bringing in some vets. Since this years FA market wasn't that good I think we have done a fine job, and tings are not being run as they would have in the VC era just on the fact ath we have not signed one or tow HUGE FA to ridiculous contracts. On the contrary we have brought in good veteran depth and quality starters at good market value prices. I am not going to make any predictions like others have, I am only going to say this Redkins team of 2010 will be much more competitive and fun to watch as teams in years past.

Got to agree with saden1 on this one... we're looking at .500 - .625 tops

Finally, one big change is the fact that, as many threads have said, the culture of entitlement is being weeded out. That is a far cry from the thinking that we bring in one Julius Peppers and think man now we have it all. |

Re: Different Season, Same Trap
I'm going to say 1800 yards passing 200 yards rushing 12 touchdowns 14 int's. He's going to hurt playing behind this crappy line that we have. He won't finish out the year.

Re: Different Season, Same Trap
^I'd miss Griff and Thomas if they were in their prime, but not in the state they had been in recently.

Re: Different Season, Same Trap
There is no trap here! This is a new begining. A time to be excited but not demanding. Let's say you just got a divorce and then time went by and you cooled off and were ready to enter into a new relationship. Would you have the same attitude toward your new partner as you do to the new Redskins. Granted, the new Redskins is not going to be a relationship for you but in reality, is expectations that much different? grip it n rip it!
