competent management op. its nice being in week 17 and not discussing who our next HC is going to be or how we need to fix our trainwreck of a team.
It's.....staggering to look at the talent that he is responsible for on this team....That can Actually play!
Not to mention the unemployed...undrafted dudes that he brought in as a result of injury needs. That are GOOD!!
Love this guy

Better knees? Yeah you could find those for cheap in the draft.
Hatcher is old. I really like the guy but that is the knock on him. Takes him longer to recover from the beating these guys take every week than a younger player.

He is still good, strong, and has fast twitch explosiveness. All that seems to fade as the fatigue from a season accumulates. I'm really hoping him sitting for the Dallas game gives him some pop to put Rodgers on his butt.

I think we should move on, but I really like the guy.

I would wait for the market to come to me, and in all likelihood Berry will have been snatched up by somebody on the first day of free agency, if the Chiefs even let him get there.

So I would be unlikely to pay what it takes to get him. I'd rather wait, let the market set itself, then try to make a value play.

I'd retain Goldson instead. He was solid for us and is a strong & respected leader. I would only rework his deal if I thought I really needed the cap space, and I'm not sure we will. Goldson counts $8M on the cap next year, but keep in mind Jairus Byrd counts $11M, Earl Thomas counts $10M, and Eric Weddle (pending free agent) counted $10M last year. Berry himself counted $11.6M in 2014.

So while Goldson is fairly pricey you have to be careful what you wish for. If you want to replace Goldson with Berry it will cost you a few more million in cap space, and you'd have a disruption in the locker room with a new face coming in while you lose one of the most respected players in there.

My rule is simple - draft draft draft. Very little big guaranteed money to players advanced in their primes.

I was thinking the same, I don't know how everyone feels about K. Jarrett but I loved him this season, I think he could be our SS of the future and is a good nickel back.

One safety I like in the draft is Jamal Adams from LSU

I was one of those who panned the pick. I just thought he lacked the quickness to be effective. He's still not the quickest guy on the field, but the Skins saw his other positive attributes and they've coached him up to become a solid player.

He's got great hands which makes up for the lack of quickness. His length helps too.

The great hands are key in helping get off blocks, too. He'll only get better at stopping the run.

Re: Preston Smith

Smith getting off the line much faster though.

He actually was the main reason Baker got his sack in the last game, his pass rush forced Moore into Baker.

Best rookie class in like forever.

Also, Hatcher has alot of pressures, just doesn't have the sack numbers.

I'm really bummed by Keenan Robinson's play, he stunk in the dallas game.

Hatcher collapses the pocket a lot. On 3rd down Pot Roast comes out, Ricky in and Hatcher slides inside against the double team most the time.

The Keenan play that stuck with me was on the long-ass D Mac run to the strong side; Robinson completely missed his assignment I think from not readying his key, was late to the hole and got his ass handed to him by a blocker. Compton would have been in the hole forcing that shit to the outside.

I thought Compton was playing on another level before being taken out last Sunday. Got a big Int, was popping Dmac on limited runs and then helped popped Turbin on a gang tackle that made Turbin's helmet fly off. And then got in Turbin face probably asking "if he liked that?"

To me the argument is over, Compton is long term solution at ILB.

Re: Preston Smith

Are there stats on "hurries" available to the general public ? sacks are great, however consistent pressure on the QB is just as important
