Re: 2010 NFL Free Agency Rumors and Reports (Week 2)
Yeah, from an intangible standpoint his record is sketchy. At Texas he couldn't beat out Colt McCoy (understandable considering how Colt turned out), but most recently at Ole Miss he decided to leave because his starting job was in trouble. I'd be interested in seeing what a coach like Shanahan thinks considering the theme for camp this year seems to be competition. Actually I'm kind of surprised that at this point the Redskins don't like Clausen. I figured that Shanahan would see a little of him in Clausen.

Re: 2010 NFL Free Agency Rumors and Reports (Week 2)
Kentucky Pro day, RB Alphonso Smith (6-foot 1/4, 211), who did not work out at the combine, ran a 4.38 and 4.38 in the 40, 4.31 short shuttle and a 7.21 three-cone drill. He posted a 36-inch vertical jump, 9-9 broad jump, and 19 bench press lifts.
Did anyone watch Kentucky football this year, is this kid as good as his Pro Day numbers?Where does he project |

They're having an active off season: Tony Pashos, Ben Watson, Scott Fujita, and Jake Delhomme all were plucked from free agency. Cut Derek Anderson and now you have to wonder if Brady Quinn is about to be shown the door next.

I don't think Holmgren can be anything like Parcells but he's surely giving it a try...

If they cut Quinn we need to take a look at him more competition.

Nope. Dude you have a ton of good Qbs in this draft. We can get Bradford/Clausen/McCoy and get Kafka, Elliot, Canfield, and maybe even Crompton as undrafted guys or low rounders. Forget Quinn, he is a known quantity and sucks ass. Shoot they put Anderson in to replace him. |

Re: 2010 NFL Free Agency Rumors and Reports (Week 2)
Stull is another possible low rounder or even an undrafted FA. Too many decent Qbs to just sign Quinn.
