This is a non-issue. If you don't like the board's policy, don't move to that town. End of story.

Absolutely agree. I haven't wanted to post anything, I've just been reading this and it made me think of a number of our more controversial threads. Basically we'll have an extremely sensible post that basically neither side could argue against like this one.

Instead, both sides ignore and just want to continue to attacks back and forth...

What if the school board reverses its decision and a bunch of parents upset about the reversal start setting up camp in front of schools and start giving kids free pamphlet on sex education and condoms? How are you going to handle that?

Honestly , use force , it actually works well at times . If Mr. Smith gave my son a condom , then got his girl pregnant , is Mr. Smith now financially responsible for the child ? Honestly , any parent that wants to print pamphlets on sex-ed should print them .... for their kids ... not to give them to those parents would rather it be a private / family matter . That would be like me having MMA training in my basement , and allowing kids who's parents objected to that kind of sport train ..against their wishes . I just believe that each parent should be able to raise their kid , not having to worry about their neighbor . IMO , the schools should have to have consent from the parents in regards to medicine or condoms .

I believe sex education comes before fetus education. While I would prefer that my stand be to the left it all depends where the line forms.

LOL , no .... however , neither you or anyone else has a right to decide what to teach , or preach to another persons child . No different than if a group of parents set up a booth outside of a school with info on how roll a joint or how to hide alcohol from parents or teachers . I just believe that each parent should be the sole teacher for their own kid ... live and let live .

Is there anybody in this thread who actually believe first graders will go to the school nurse and ask for condoms so they can become a degenerate sex fiend? The idea of first graders asking for condoms and then ending up screwing their lives because of it is asinine. DJNemo is right on point with his post and thanks to TMC for pointing that out too.
