USAJOBS - The Federal Government’s Official Jobs Site

Some people like working for the government, some people hate it. I'm a fed, and I like it. I don't have to put up with all the corporate BS I had to when I worked for a contractor (Booz Allen Hamilton - good company to work for, though).

Re: What did you do at work today?

I worked for 2 hours this morning before realizing we had the day off.

Good thing today was a work from home day, or I totally would have wasted a trip in and back. lol

I've got yesterday, today, and tomorrow off. Doing my best to not even think about work. Feels nice.

Re: What did you do at work today?

My company hates MLK and dreams so I have to work today. But I did just play some post-lunch doubles ping pong in our break room that basically just ended up with us trying to hurt one another with shots to the head, so that was fun.

Re: What did you do at work today?

Same here AMD. Came in to work at regular time today, I'm leaving at regular time today, and I've done nothing but work so far. So far I've stocked the order, received the order, straightened up the receiving area, unloaded about 50 tires off the tire rack that are about to be sent back, and helped out here and there. Now I've got nothing much to do for the rest of the day so I'm going to clean up and organize.

That choice was especially hilarious because it seems like EVERY TIME someone includes clip art, there is some lady in an 80s purple suit.

I know who thought up clip art? Was Bill Gates like give me the most unimaginative person we have.

What if Walt Disney was a clip art artist? Or Rob Zombie? That would make it much better or at least interesting.

Actually speaking of unimaginative. They moved all the offices around in my building and there is this some what cute MILF manager that I rarely speak to but do say hi to time to time. Well I noticed her new office was completely bare expect for the desk chair and computer. I said it looks like you could film a training video in here it is so vanilla. She said (no pun intend) actually I was thinking it make a great porn scene. Then me walking out with a awkward but excited look on my face. I didn't even have a reply she caught me that off guard.

I will send you a crisp, new $1 bill if you go into that office later wearing just a towel and carrying a bottle of baby oil.

Anyone else want in? We'll need photographic evidence of her expression, naturally.

Can't do that. I have to leave my cell in my car everyday, rules of the road.
