Re: All things off season 2015.
im starting to get worried as well. these are core guys. Scot says he wants to reward their own so i trust bruce (contracts wise) and Scot (decision wise).
Redskins Discussing Extensions For Williams, Kerrigan ^^ most recent thing i saw on google. they are in talks since at least may. Trent Williams dismisses agent Ben Dogra - The Washington Post ^^ trent fired his agent in april Asked Thursday if he’d like to be a Redskin for life, Williams told Redskins.com TV’s Larry Michael: “Of course. Of course. That’s a no-brainer. “We’ll see,” Williams continued. “Business has to work itself out. Obviously I’m not educated in that department, so I’ve got my representation, and I just let them guys talk and let them handle it, and hopefully we can get something done soon.” ^^ trent quote Asked April 27 about the contract negotiations with both Williams and Kerrigan, first-year Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan said “they’re ongoing, but nothing substantial” in the way of progress was able to be reported at the time. “But there’s been discussions,” McCloughan said. “We’re not in a hurry, hurry to do it, but we’d like to. We see them as quality Redskin football players, and they’re both highly talented. It’s a big contract, but discussions are going on. We definitely have been staying in touch with the agents.” ^^ Scot quote Trent Williams’ Desire To Remain Redskin ‘No-Brainer’ i trust scot and bruce to figure it out. |

In a normal situation, you'd have some agreement in the middle; however, the franchise tag, gives teams a huge advantage in their negotiation. I know people's initial reaction is to side with the team. But it sucks to be them, because the franchise tag doesn't help them with their negotiation. At the end of the day, they'll either need to take the franchise tag (paid on a weekly basis and not guaranteed), take a very team friendly deal, or hold out.

These are the rules and how they were set. Yeah they want guaranteed money but if they don't like it then get a 9-5. Would you give Dez Bryant a ton of money and not have something in there to protect yourself? We're talking about a guy who beat up his mom. |

Anyway, pretty surprised Dez got a contract. His threats may have actually worked.

Re: All things off season 2015.
As great a player as Johnson is, Det. hasn't won ONE playoff game since he's been there. We can even look here at Jackson, he didn't actually make the team better even though he put up numbers. WR's just don't impact the game enough to be paid 16 million a year.

Re: All things off season 2015.
i think Dez' tweet was a beautifully played PR move. he kept it to 1 tweet and in 24 words managed to:
1. state his love of the game (desire to be the best, not just highest paid); 2. endeared himself to any parent by reminding everyone he has kids that he loves; 3. endeared himself to boys fans by apologizing letting them know he wishes things were diff but it is out of his control; 4. clearly and unequivocally stated his intention (no deal, no dez). beauty in simplicity. im starting to think dez is a deeper river then i originally imagined. |

Re: All things off season 2015.
well, kerrigan and williams are the type of players you want to keep, so if everyone is being rational, it shouldn't be an issue to get it worked out.

Bills asked LeSean McCoy to take down his ad for creepy ‘Females Only’ party, because it used their logo - The Washington Post
This guy is such a dumbass.

I dont know whether I am just pissed off that i cant hold a females only party (i am married, and i dont think i would draw a big crowd anyway), or that is the dumbest thing i have ever seen. Possibly a little bit of both. I will say that if McCoy invited me to his party as his wingman (and i wasnt married) i would have a hard time saying no. |
