They are super short seasons. Season one probably the slower of the three seasons is only 7 episodes, 2 and 3 are only 13. I thought 3 was the best. You really have to watch them all becasue the like we said before their are some major pilot twist that pull from the past. I promise you won't be disappointed, I personal think this is the best show on AMC maybe TV.

Re: Official The Killing Thread (Warning: Potential Spoilers)
Need to figure out where to watch them. I don't have the Netflix DVD package, and I'm not about to stream anything illegally on my work computer

Re: Official The Killing Thread (Warning: Potential Spoilers)
I thought that's what I might do
Anyhow, we're starting to talk about too many other shows in this thread. We should discuss those in the What New Shows Are You Watching thread. And if there's enough interest for a show, give it its own thread. But let's keep this one to the Killing

Re: Official The Killing Thread (Warning: Potential Spoilers)
The Killing is dead to me. I feel it's appropriate to hijack this thread as a statement of dissatisfaction. But that's just me.

Re: Official The Killing Thread (Warning: Potential Spoilers)
Well, in an interview the showrunner says the killer won't be revealed until the final episode of season 2...so I don't think I'll be watching season 2

Re: Official The Killing Thread (Warning: Potential Spoilers)
So...I didn't watch any of season 2. But we finally know who the killer is. One of us sort of called it

Re: Official The Killing Thread (Warning: Potential Spoilers)
It was a very good finale (season or series). The actress playing Rosie was actually really believable.
I think the "promise" of season 1's finale reveal really pissed viewers off (I'm probably one of four who didn't care haha). Putting that aside, the case was solved in 26 days- consider how high the case went, that ain't bad. The original Danish series was around 20 eps, iirc. AMC's break between the two seasons probably didn't help. Last edited by itvnetop; 06-18-2012 at 04:14 AM. |

Re: Official The Killing Thread (Warning: Potential Spoilers)
So I didn't watch it at all this season and don't have any real desire to do so. They just lost me at the end last year.
I am curious as to who was the killer and why. Can somebody give me the whodunit and why in three lines or less? Send me a PM, don't do the reveal in the thread as someone may want to go back and actually watch it.

While watching the show (and it's probably a reason why I never became upset with the Sud's direction) never really had Rosie's character in mind. Her death was the device that set up the rest of the series for me... the fallout investigation and the appropriate development of everyone involved- the family, the two investigators and the politicians. It wasn't until last night's episode that I finally saw why people were so crushed by her loss (beyond the traditional family ties). I think it was easier having seen Twin Peaks first... Laura Palmer's death triggers everything else. I can see why some viewers got tired of the Killing herrings, however. |
