Judge's come in all temperments and levels of intelligence. Regardless of whether they are smart, stupid, a**holes or nice, they can all lock you away or fine you - and will - if you do something they deem contemptous. Even if they are way out of line, your our only recourse is to file motions and hope you have a good lawyer who will get things reviewed quickly. Even then, no guarrantee you get released. If they tell a bailiff to lock you up, you will spend time in jail.
