Only way I see this ruining his career is if he actually did the deed, or assisted in some way that would make his prison sentence 10+ years. That's the point I was trying to get at without spending too much time on the subject.

Oh, I agree. Frankly, he can be charged, convicted and reviled by the general populace as worthless scum, but, as long as (1) he is not in jail, and (2) he can ball, his NFL career will be fine.
