Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Here's my question.....
If ESPN is going to cater to the ENTIRE NATION and play the Saints/Giants game on ESPN after the Redskins game starts.....WHY THE HELL isnt ESPN going to show the Redskins/Cowboys game in markets that the Saints/Giants game is going to be continued on ABC?? It makes ZERO sense to me. I'm hoping that they just "forgot" to put that in these press releases. I'm about to freaking flip out.

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Wow. What a f-ed up situation. I live in NYC. I was planning to go to a bar for fun anyway, but I wonder if the bars will be able to get the game at all??? If they only have the NFL package, I wonder what will happen. Damn. I will literally take a bus down to DC just to watch the game in a bar!!!
Ugh.

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
I know the Saints lost their stadium, we all saw the coverage of them meeting the people who lost their things in the hurricane. That's very great of them to do.
BUT I WANT MY FOOTBALL GAME ON MONDAY NIGHT. That "story line" won't make any extra watch it besides people who are fucking pissed because they can't watch the Skins or EVEN the Cowboys.

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
well for those of us that don't live on the gulf coast and new york, we will be seeing the redskins and cowboys on 9:00 on abc. the saints - giants game will start at 7:30, then at 9:00 it's being transferred to espn for those of us that don't live in the aforementioned areas. if you do live in one of those areas, you will be seeing saints - giants until that game is over, at which point it will switch to the redskins - cowboys.

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
It's a ratings move. While we may be able to pile up 1,000 or more complaints, they will probably get 10 or 20 times that in letters of approval from NY fans. Give a special AND extra MNF airing in NY, the largest market in the U.S.
You get the sympathy viewer, you get the NY viewer and you get national coverage for all of the displaced families... that turns into straight $$$ for ABC. I do agree though, they should move the regular broadcast to ESPN in NY and the gulf coast.

I don't know why the don't just move the saints - giants game to espn for the whole night, then let everyone see the skins - cowboys game for the whole night.

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Man I hope Deuce and the Saints bury those lucky-ass, punk-ass bitch Giants. Getting an extra home game is complete bullshit. I hope the Saints get all emotional and bring the pain on behalf of the people of New Orleans, and knock Jeremy Shockey's chest off. I f'ing hate those mother f'ers.

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
So it seems like for those of us in the NY area at 9pm we are going to get Giants Saints on ABC and Giants Saints on ESPN????? How in the world does that make any fuc*ing sense?????? I have the Direct TV Sunday ticket...I paid to see all these fu*ing games...this is so stupid.
Not to mention what an outrage it is to have the Giants with 9 home games. If the NFL wants to raise money for New Orleans that can find other ways to do it than to disturb the competitive balance of a division race. What a fu*king horrible decision! If Tagliabue wants to give a couple million dollars of ticket revenue to New Orleans he should reach into the NFL's billion dollar pockets and give it to them in a way that doesn't give the Giants an unfair advantage and screw selected fans out of seeing a Monday night football game!

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Better yet, this is the # for NFL Corporate HQ, give them a buzz and ask for public relations and ask them why both games can't be shown in all markets.
