I agree -> If done for salary cap purposes, he must be cut before final roster. If he is being retained as a short term insurance policy, then we take the hit and move on when we feel the youngsters can take his spot on the field.
We could cut him, hope he clears waivers and try to resign. Not sure how he would feel about that. Who knows. Tough call that would be a done deal if Crawford still on the roster.
