Like, if it's offensive and racist, no one has to sit you down and explain it. Which by the way, the etymology of the name Redskins is very dicey. I agree, so it pains me to say that the history of the name doesn't matter. If everyone in 2013 agrees that the name is offensive, it doesn't matter what people thought 150 years ago, sad to say.

When a mass hysteria train gets rolling, brakes are difficult to apply. And the mass hysteria regarding the idea that "Redskins is offensive" has left the station.
