But even better than that, we would have had the all-name team from hell... Iffy, Ade, and Uyi. And for the record, yes I did have a freaking blast watching college ball at the beginning of this month!

Redskins get Wilds, 9 others
Richmond Times-Dispatch Apr 28, 2004 ASHBURN - The Washington Redskins agreed to terms with 10 undrafted free agents yesterday, including Virginia Tech defensive lineman Garnell Wilds. The others: Ryan Boschetti, defensive lineman, UCLA; Jonathan Brewer, wide receiver, Howard; Rufus Brown, defensive lineman, Florida State; Quinn Christensen, offensive lineman, Brigham Young; Norman Heuer, defensive lineman, Michigan; William Strother, linebacker, New Mexico; John Standeford, wide receiver, Purdue; Jafar Williams, wide receiver, Maryland; and Denard Wilson, safety, Maryland. - From Times-Dispatch Resources First time I've seen a complete group.

Ten Undrafted Rookies Added
By Gary Fitzgerald Redskins.com April 27, 2004 With the Redskins having a limited number of picks heading into the 2004 NFL Draft, head coach Joe Gibbs has stressed the importance of finding quality undrafted rookie free agents once the draft ended Sunday night. Gibbs hopes at least one of the 10 players the team has agreed to terms with on Tuesday develops into a quality starter, if not a Pro Bowl player. The list of undrafted rookie free agents, which includes two defensive linemen, three defensive backs and three wide receivers, is as follows: Ryan Boschetti, DL, UCLA Jonathan Brewer, WR, Howard Rufus Brown, CB, Florida State Quinn Christensen, OL, BYU Norman Heuer, DL, Michigan William Strother, LB, New Mexico John Standeford, WR, Purdue Garnell Wilds, CB, Virginia Tech Jafar Williams, WR, Maryland Dennard Wilson, S, Maryland Wilson is a local product who grew up in Upper Marlboro, Md., and attended DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Md. Wilson, Williams and Brewer were in attendance at the team's local workout in early April. All of the rookie free agents, as well as the Redskins' four NFL Draft selections from last weekend, will be in attendance at the team's second mini-camp of the offseason from April 30-March 2. Must be true! Now I've seen it twice!

that's the 3rd place i've seen wilds being called a lineman when he's a cornerback. i don't understand how all of these different papers and the skins official site r mixing up wilds' playing position. somehow i can't see a 5-11/196 pound guy being a lineman or maybe it's just me. |
