[QUOTE=NC_Skins;1061174]How so? With him? Our defense was one of the worst in the league. Without him, this team won the division.

Rak doesn't dominate. Period. I would equate him to a Cliff Anvril, and last time I checked, he was paid 8mil/yr.

Look at his number the last part of the season and then see who they were against. Back up left tackles. You do NOT pay a guy who's good, elite money. Let somebody else make that mistake.[/

Our record those two years is neither here nor there. His position warrants a paid day. I know we have other holes, but go back and watch RK get handled the year before with out Rak. Yeah we won, but I put that on the offense not the defense.

If we need to build a staunch defense then let's start with our strength and that's our OLBs. Pay'em contracts for these types of players are only going to get heftier in the coming years with the cap climbing 20 mil the next 2 years and even higher in the future.

Put it this way I want to pay our player more than I want to pay a Paul Kruger troupe guy.
