Byrd is a good bet to get what he wants thanks to the rapidly rising salary cap and growing need for an elite center fielder in today's NFL. Yes and yes. I would give him 5 years 45 million. I feel he is worth that. But what the hell do I know? If you feel he is the best FS in the game, which most believe he is, then you have no choice but to pay him in the 40-that illion dollar range. Why are Weddle and Berry worth that but not Byrd?
