Glad to hear that we aren't still being called idiots for making the trade. I'm sure Coles won't make a habit of dropping passes though...

I still wish him luck.

Based on his preseason and week 1 performance, I must admit that I may have been very wrong about who got the better end of the Moss-Coles deal. I loved Coles' toughness and, when healthy, his big play ability. I still think very highly of Coles, but if Moss continues to look the way he has these past few months, I will eat major crow and give a ton of credit to Gibbs et al for pulling off the trade.

Moss's big play value has never been questioned. It's his toughness, especially when we're as thin at WR as we are his durability could become a major issue this year.

I'm currently drunk but I think who got the better deal in the Coles-Moss trade will play out over a couple years not in the first game of the season.

And to think all of this could have been avoided if Marty boy would have listened to Danny boy and just drafted Santanna Moss in the first place.

I dont think marty cared what dan thought then and i doubt he's care now... he had a better record than the skins last year... but yeah, turns out moss was a lot better than gardner (who didn't even make it on to the field last week).

I liked Santana Moss since college. The difference is that Moss can take the ball the distance after the catch. Something that was virtuallly nonexistent in our offense last year.

coles could take it the distance his first 4 games here... after that toe injury he went from near #7 to somewhere around #30 in talent level...

Re: Coles Drops 3 Passes - I Love Santana So Far

You know two Redskins that endorsed the trade from day one was Portis and Taylor....they all played together at the U.

But my question is, how much bigger is Coles than Moss? Aren't they about the same height?
