Safety is still a major concern.

We had a lot of holes to fill in FA and Allen has filled many of them. Of course, what's left to do is with safety. We likely won't acquire a quality starts-this-year safety outside of a draft or FA miracle, so it appears that we are stuck with another year of average-at-best safety play. But we can acquire roughly average safeties as late as training camp. So there is reason to be sad about safety but no reason to panic.

One of my main complaints about Shanahan is he always loved his roster in its current state so much that he wouldn't even consider this option. Gruden is much more likely to keep an eye on the wavier wire for players who can help.
