For one thing, Bruce Allen made it clear that upgrading the secondary was a priority in FA. Then he accomplished next to nothing in that regard. We watched as numerous talented safeties and CB's signed with other teams.

Now, he's bringing back some of the same cast of characters who were so bad as a group last season. That is hardly encouraging.

As for the draft, just how many positions are we going to be able to address in the draft? Only one or two players we draft will be able to make much of a contribution in their rookie year. We drafted two safeties last year, so I'd rather not draft another safety this year.

More specific to Biggers, I don't like him because he is a human speed bump.

BTW, I'm not of a negative mindset about what the Skins are trying to do. But I do think that, up to this point, Bruce Allen has failed to get us the veteran leader we need at safety. Maybe we'll sign Ryan Clark as a stopgap at FS. That would help. I'm also hopeful that we'll get some help from Thomas, Crawford, and Minnefield this season.
