Verrett is not going to beat out D Hall and Amerson. He could be very good in time, but there are several vets ahead of him now. Skov a starter ? Reynolds would probably play a lot, and could start by mid-season. Lyerla has a drug problem... no thanks Counting on 2 inexperienced players on the O line, is very risky. |

Re: 2014 draft prospects Early edition
My dream draft scenario would be to deal Kirk for a 2nd rounder, trading out off the 34th spot to pick up an additional 3rd & 4th, and end with (2) 2nd, (2) 3rd, (2) 4th, (1) 5th, (1) 6th & (1) 7th...we could add more depth to the roster. I believe the fact we have the 34th pick a lot of 1st round talent will drop into the 2nd based on the possibility teams will make trades to get the QB's & WR's.

![]() On a serious note, I would expect only Verrett and O'Donnell to start. Verrett is an elite talent, so it would be idiotic to not start him in the slot over Porter. And O'Donnell, being a punter, would also likely start. I wouldn't expect Shayne Skov to start, but I would expect him to be in the mix at ILB. Same for Reynolds at FS; Clark is really the only FS we have and he's 34(35 now?). Surely Ed Reynolds, being the great tackler that he is, could contribute early. Colt Lyerla does have off-field issues, but he's a great receiving TE. If he stayed out of trouble, I'm 100% sure Gruden would find a way to get him and Reed on the field at the same time, even early in the season. De'Anthony Thomas would surely find the field some way as well. |

But you don't see SFRedskins disapproving of my mock. No, sir. With 4 West Coast players being drafted, I'll bet he took one look and got a massive hard on. If I would have just had, say, Cameron Fleming instead of Verrett, he would've gizzed in his pants.

I guess Teddy doesn't like what he's been hearing lately.

Re: 2014 draft prospects Early edition
Whatever. Let me put it this way: Verrett would cover the slot receiver when offenses came out in 3 WR sets. Or another way: Verrett would be the 3rd corner in nickel and dime packages. Basically, he would take over Tracy Porter's projected role. While it wouldn't technically be a starting spot, for all practical purposes it would be. Satisfied, Refutable?

Re: 2014 draft prospects Early edition
If Cousins is dealt then maybe in the later rounds. David Fales may be the sleeper of the draft. I watched a few of their games because I either bet for or against San Jose. Kid looks like a complete QB that can make all the throws, is dead accurate and gets the ball out on time. My only concern is there is 0 defense in the Moutain West.

Re: 2014 draft prospects Early edition
Would you rather have Jace Amaro in the 2nd or Austin Seferain-Jenkins in the 3rd?
