People use the word "franchise QB" too loosely. He's not a franchise QB at this point and time. Period. The 49ers were just as good with Alex Smith behind the helm which shows you it wasn't the QB responsible for their winning.

The only franchise QBs in this league currently are: Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Eli, Romo, Ryan, Roethlisberger........and maybe Stafford.

Others have the potential to be but simply aren't there quite yet.

All jokes aside ,Romo,Ryan, Stafford are nothing but good QBs and their teams hope they become "franchise QBs" , until they take it to another level as the others have done all they are is good .
