He not only knew how to pass protect but he had the desire to be the best at it. Does any of these other guys have the desire to be a good pass protector? I don't think Portis can give any of them his desire.

I'm not satisfied with any of the backup RB's beyond Helu.

Chris Thompson is supposed to be explosive but he hasn't proven it. He's pretty much useless between the tackles and he can't pass protect.

Royster has had a good preseason but we all know that he is pedestrian.

Redd looks like he has potential but he's not ready.

Seastrunk is very raw.

Other than Helu, I really wouldn't mind if the Skins cut all of them and picked up somebody else.
