Look at the Saints or last years Falcons very good teams can fall apart quick..the steelers are not looking good ..the difference in the NFL is inches! I am not sure how each year we the fans believe the team is playoff ready..reality is this year the Redskins are at best a 9 win team..most likely they will end up 6 -10 however The future looks good..We have first rounder next year..hopefully RGIII will return healthy..We will know for sure about Kirk..the coaches will have a year under there belt. there are brighter days ahead !
The future always looks good, until it no longer is the future!!!!!! Thing is our starters for the most part suck. We only have one bona fide starter on our O line and defensive backfield and both of them are hurt. Anyone else on those units are second stringers on the better teams in the league. Our qb situation is not very good. You have a kid that just has been exposed to the point that all you have to do is put on a great pass rush and cover the TE and whammo, you have rendered him useless and forced him to make dumb throws. Your starter is awesome, but can't stay healthy for half a season, so he isn't worth a damn over the long haul. Unless he plays all of 2015 and we experience 2012 deja vu, without the injury at the end, I can't see us retaining him. To do that he will have to take a hefty pay cut I would think. Don't even bring up the depth issue.
