I highly doubt that is his first read every play but sure enough it looked like that was the first place he looked? Anyone else notice this or am I crazy? You have to wonder if the back is the first option. Because Ramsey did the same thing. Ive been complaining about this since the begining of last year. The QBs arent as bad as they look, most people here have to agree with that. But after the snap the first thing they try to do is hit the back, or throw a screen. Which is even more incentive for the defense to keep 8 in the box. We have to throw downfield a lot more just to get the respect of the defense, and with Moss' speed ya never know.
