The year after the last Super Bowl victory, the Skins won a wild card round playoff game at Minnesota before losing at SF in the Divisional round. In the 90's, they actually qualified for the playoffs in '90, '91, '92, and '99, and somehow missed in '96, collapsing after a 7-1 start. Starting in 1996, the common denonminator during the Norv years was a talented, but undisciplined team that would underachieve and find ways to lose games.
Perhaps Snyder's biggest mistake was firing Charlie Casserly before the 2000 season.
