Redskins-Eagles Pre-Game Thread

Saturday game, so I figured someone would post this by now. 2014 season apathy kicking in, I suppose.

In any event, the injury report isn't good: Redskins.com | Injury Report. Hatcher out, Keenan Robinson doubtful, and Trent Williams questionable. So no pass rush (save Kerrigan), no ability to tackle McCoy, and our best O-lineman either hobbled or out. Eagles playing for the post-season. We may get killed.

Eagles -- 45
Redskins -- 20

I really, really hope I am wrong.

Re: Redskins-Eagles Pre-Game Thread

I have no reason to expect anything other than us getting our teeth kicked in. I am going to be traveling tomorrow so maybe I will watch if Virgin American has a TV for me to look at. Happy Holidays to all of my friends here on the Warpath.

You have no idea how badly I want RG3 to come out and just walk all over their ass, leaving the Birds humiliated and the rest of us believing again. Redskins 30, Eagles 24.

On a different note, I'm pretty sure I saw a flying pig today.

Re: Redskins-Eagles Pre-Game Thread

One of the things that makes me nervous about this game is that the put 37 points on us last time, albeit with Foles and not Buttfumble. But still, they're playing for the playoffs and our D is terribly banged up. For this to be close, we will need bad Sanchez to show up -- fumbles and INTs. And we haven't forced a lot of those.

Here's a thought that may make me throw up -- the Cowboys clinching the playoffs at FedEx Field on 12/28. I almost hope we lose this week to the Eagles, and then stick it to the Cowboys next week and force them out of the playoffs. Not that I like the Eagles at all. But imagine Jerruh strutting around FedEx field high-fiving his players. Snyder might flip out and start firing everyone on the spot, including Mrs. Snyder and the janitorial staff. (Of course, I am willing to accept some collateral damage so long as at least some of the right folks get canned.)

I cannot believe that this is what the season has devolved into.

Do you think anyone would protest if 'The Interview' was about a talk show host and his assistant tasked with assassinating Daniel Snyder?

Re: Redskins-Eagles Pre-Game Thread

This is the first game in at least 5 years I have to miss. And I forgot to set DVR to record it

Eagles will dominate in every area of the game. If RG doesn't get injured I'll call it a win though.

Re: Redskins-Eagles Pre-Game Thread

Why is this game on Saturday?

I thought it was tradition not to play when college games are on.

Every year there's Saturday NFL games around this time.

NFL games returning to Saturday in 2014 with Week 16 doubleheader - CBSSports.com

According to the article, there had been Saturday games since 1970 until last season; the first season without a Saturday NFL game.

And to answer your question, by week 16 both college and high school football regular season games are over.

I thought it was unusual to have a Saturday game as well, but apparently not.
